Thank you for your magazine – I enjoy every issue cover-to-cover, and especially Deborah’s article about animals.”

Mission Accomplished Nanaimo Magazine.

Being a transplant from another region of our great country has always been an exciting part of my journey , however it has its challenges, especially when you decide to do business in a new town where literally nobody knows who you are and what you stand for or anything about you for that matter.

When I met Judy some two years ago at a chamber meeting in the Coast Bastion, little did she know that she and her magazine would change the direction of our new venture into a positive long lasting fun experience for us. BRAVO … we committed to working with Judy for the very reason of getting our branding OUT THERE … To make Nanaimo AWARE that we are here , we are fun, we are professional and we are open for business…Thank you Judy, you were absolutely right … Everywhere we go now people ask…Where do I know you from ? Aaah…oh the back of the magazine…MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. Thanks to Judy and Nanaimo Magazine.”

“Dear Editor, The May 2016 issue of Nanaimo and Voyager Magazine includes an excellent article about our local ‘powerhouse’ – Ms. Tracy Samra, newly appointed Chief Administrative Officer of the City of Nanaimo. The article highlights Ms. Samra’s background including her extensive educational qualifications, impressive work experience, as well as her wise and compassionate manner of relating to the many people around her. It describes her as being “passionate about envisioning change, then leading, supporting and fostering it”. She has already deeply impressed and delighted many here in the Nanaimo during her initial few months as interim Chief Administrative Officer.

I am grateful to our Nanaimo City Council for having the wisdom and foresight to hire Ms. Samra on a permanent basis. Not only is she highly qualified for this position (we are so fortunate to have someone of her caliber in this position), but she is the first woman to fill this position AND the first First Nations person to be appointed as “Nanaimo’s top civil servant”!

In conclusion, thank you to the Nanaimo and Voyager Magazine for their story highlighting this remarkable woman, to Nanaimo City Council for making this significant choice and to Tracy Samra for taking on this position. I wish her the very best in all her endeavours.”

“About 6 years ago, Judy Stephan, owner of Nanaimo Magazine/Voyager was looking to acquire a business. Coming from South Africa, she needed to educate herself on how to ‘locate’ a business to acquire and ‘who’ to engage to assist her. She learned about BC Business Brokers thorough one of its many advertising channels. Judy transitioned from being a school teacher to the Editor of one of the more successful publications on Vancouver Island.

BC Business Brokers continues to advertise with Nanaimo/Voyager Magazine, as Judy has shown that she is a very effective manager of the regional publication that help hundreds of small regional businesses on Vancouver Island succeed by supporting regional businesses.”

“Our visitor count at the Vancouver Island Military Museum this November has exceeded all of our expectations; the attendance on Remembrance Day was a record setter. There is no doubt in our mind that the article that you published and the advertisement that we submitted and appeared in the November edition informing your readers that we would be open on Remembrance Day was partially responsible for our record attendance both on November 11 and throughout the month.

We would like to take this time to thank you for your ongoing support of our museum and honouring the service of Canadians that have served in the Canadian Military. Without the support of your excellent magazine and the support of your readers the, the Vancouver Island Military Museum might not exist.

Thank you again and best wishes to you and your staff.”

“I have been working with Judy and Nanaimo magazine for approximately a year now. During that time, she has portrayed professionalism and respect for my marketing and advertising ideas. Beyond that, the magazine has a great coverage and exclusive distribution on BC Ferries, extending my marking to a captive audience. In addition, she has rallied a team of professionals to assist with my graphic design required for the magazine. I recommend the use of Voyager and Nanaimo Magazine to those that inquire.
Wishing you success,”

“I got my hands on the latest issue of NM this week, and had a read of the Jar review. It was fantastic! You really covered all the bases I know he was hoping to see there. I actually read it while at Jar for lunch and got to see David’s expression while opening it for the first time and reading it himself (I know he got to see the draft, but first time in print is always exciting too!). He was showing it to my friends around the table and just seemed so pleased. I’m really glad you were able to work everything out and produce such a great review for him.”
