Love Where You Live

MARCH
2025

Whether Nanaimo is your go-to for Vancouver Island adventures or you’re stopping en route to another destination, you’ll find plenty of lodging options in beautiful locations.

Settle in with a well-appointed suite at a high-rise hotel overlooking the sailboats in Nanaimo Harbour, or stay within walking distance of malls and restaurants in the north end.

Until February 28th save up to $100 on your stay of two nights or more. Hop, Ship or Jump on over!

Find your perfect match
No matter what inspires your visit — family fun, a romantic escape, a meeting, outdoor adventure, a girlfriend getaway, sports tournament, or some other reason — you’re sure to find a hotel or motel that suits the occasion.

Upscale vibe: Most of the city’s finest hotels are located downtown and in the Long Lake area. Downtown is home to several popular franchises: Courtyard by Marriott (opening this summer), Coast Bastion, Best Western Dorchester, Quality Inn and Ramada. Farther north on Long Lake are The Grand Hotel and Long Lake Inn.

On a budget: More affordable Nanaimo motels can be found throughout the city, but for the best variety check out those downtown along Stewart Avenue, Terminal Avenue and Nicol Street. These are especially great choices if you want to stay near the Departure Bay ferry or Gabriola Island ferry terminals.

Kid-friendly amenities: Traveling with kids? Book one of Nanaimo’s south end hotels with a pool. Kids love the indoor pool at the Days Inn by Wyndham, outdoor pool at Inn of the Sea Resort in Yellow Point, and indoor pool and waterslide at Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Oyster Bay.
