Live music series at Nanaimo’s Old City Quarter! Please join us in the Old City Quarter every Friday in June, July, August and September. One hour performances for all ages. Special 2 hour performance on September 16th.Free Friday noon hour live music performances are returning to the Old City Quarter as the neighbourhood once again presents its Sounds of the Summer series. For the next  four months, jazz, blues, classical and world music groups will be performing at Fitzwilliam Gate, Wesley Square, Heritage Mews and The Station.

Event co-ordinator James McRae is back for his 5th year curating the series and he said this year’s ensembles are all fun, enjoyable musical experiences brought to you by many of the talented musicians and performers who live in this beautiful paradise called Nanaimo – the Hub City ( Hubba, Hubba!), directly to  your ears and for your listening pleasure at  the OCQ!
