Music from the Edges was created to partially address the ongoing pandemic impacts for performing artists across Canada. Assuming touring would continue to be limited during the 2021-2022 Season, talented event producers Margot Holmes and Debbie Peters developed Music From the Edges to support Canadian artists with meaningful performance opportunities.
Music from the Edges of Canada is funded through FACTOR Canada and sponsored by Tourism Nanaimo, the Nanaimo Hospitality Association, Travel Yukon and Northwest Territories Tourism.
Music from the Edges is produced by Maverick Cooperative, the marketing arm of two award-winning agencies. Since 2017, Margot Holmes of Caline Artists International and Debbie Peters of Magnum Opus Management have collaborated to promote each of their rosters together. This innovative partnership earned them the 2018 Agent of the Year award from the B.C. Touring Council.
