Love Where You Live

Pride Week in Nanaimo is all about celebrating 2SLGBTQ+ people and the diversity that makes this community so special. This year, we’re making it even bigger and better!

Nanaimo is quickly becoming known for its authenticity, inclusivity, and acceptance. It’s simple: Everyone is welcome here, so come as you are and enjoy the warm Nanaimo welcome.

Pride Week is packed full of exciting activities organized by Nanaimo Pride Society, from the flag raising to the Laugh Out Loud Comedy Show, Annual Pride Dance with Vancouver’s Queer As Funk, or the Pride Parade and Festival on June 8th, which attracts over 10,000 people to Maffeo Sutton Park! But don’t worry, the fun doesn’t stop there. Local businesses, organizations, and community groups will keep the party going all month, making June the perfect time to experience the spirit of inclusion.

Pride Week 2025, which runs from June 2 – 8, culminates in Vancouver Island’s biggest pride parade and festival on Sunday, June 8, in Downtown Nanaimo. The celebratory events will be packed full of colour, fun, laughter, solidarity, and most importantly, love, ensuring everyone feels free to express their true authentic selves. Let’s celebrate diversity, authenticity, and love in all its forms!

Whether you’re a proud 2SLGBTQIA+ community member, an ally, or just here to show your support, there’s a spot for you in Nanaimo’s Pride celebrations. Join us for the most colourful, energetic, and heartwarming event of the year!
