Love Where You Live

FEBRUARY
2025

Looking for COVID-friendly local fun this spring? Snag a table at an outdoor patio or pick up a pint (or six!) to enjoy at home. Take a pic along the way and tag #ExploreNanaimo

WHITE SAILS BREWING

Craft brews at this downtown taproom are named after local places, each with a story tied to the name.  Try a tasting flight on White Sails’ expanded 12 table patio after a stroll along the waterfront at Maffeo Sutton Park across the street.

LONGWOOD BREWERY

Longwood Brewery is proud to support local farmers by using hops, barley and other ingredients grown all over the Island. With a tasting room and picnic area, bring your snacks and enjoy the sunshine with your beer.

CRAFT FARE

Kick back on Craft Fare’s downtown sidewalk patio for people watching paired with an amazing B.C. craft beer menu. While you sip your way around the province, fill up on comfort food with a twist: upscale sliders, baked mac and cheese with fancy extras, and more.

CLIFFSIDE BREWING CO.

Keep it casual on a sunny afternoon and raise a pint at the patio picnic tables of this family-owned microbrewery downtown. The newest addition to the local ale trail, Cliffside features craft beers ranging from tangerine and mango hazy IPAs to dark, robust porters.

WOLF BREWING

Sipping your way through the diverse lineup of European-inspired beers at this brewery is like a mini beercation. Grab an outdoor picnic table seat and try a German pilsner, heavy Scotch, British black & tan, German sour, English bitter or an ale with honey from Friedrich’s Honey Farm in Cedar.

LONGWOOD BREW PUB

A Nanaimo legend, the Longwood Brewpub is a long-time favourite for craft beer, pub fare and entrees. Order a pint of the signature Berried Alive raspberry ale while enjoying views of Mt. Benson from the family-friendly upstairs restaurant patio or head downstairs to the pub patio. Take-out is also available.
